The President is entitled to his opinion; frankly, it's the same as my mother's opinion. She did not like guns, wrestling, boxing or football. But her opinion was ignored by her husband and her sons. I came to see both sides as having valid arguments, but neither side should be able to bring the government into the argument on its side. A world without risk is impossible. We can minimize personal risk by avoiding dangerous sports but that should be the decision of parents and children. We should also remember that we have to rear the younger generation, especially those who will be responsible for repelling dangerous enemies, both domestic and foreign, to be capable of such activities. This, too, cannot be done without exposing the young to activities involving some risk.
