Immigration reform has been an important issue to me for a very long time. My husband and I lived in Northern Virginia for many years before moving back to our home state of Pennsylvania so we know firsthand the devastating affect it has.

While there is a need for true immigration reform and I'm not sure that this legislation is the way to go. It signals red flags for me when "bi-partisan" legislation like this is put forward.

Our country has been blessed with people from many lands who have come here legally and became valuable US citizens. I have more questions about this plan and need to learn more about it. But, I still see this as "rewarding" people who come here illegally.

Border security should be first and foremost. Enforce the immigration laws already passed before any new legislation is proposed.
