I am personally offended by this bill and find it repugnant that Marco Rubio, of all people, would join with Liberals and RINOs on this (although not surprised since HIS family didn't leave Cuba running away from Castro). My family and I left our country running from COMMUNISM, and did not come to this country because of financial problems, but because we were looking for freedom and to prevent my whole family from being killed by the Communist regime, after my two Uncles had been shot, ON TV, after a mock trial that determined they were "enemies of the State" for hoarding FOOD! We waited for a whole YEAR (hiding underground) to get our Visas and fulfill the REQUIREMENTS to come to this country. We didn't come here looking for freebies! We came here to live free! Once we got here, with nothing more than the clothes on our backs, my parents worked extremely hard, in jobs they were way over qualified for, but that provided our family with a roof over our heads and food on the table, and the ability to freely choose what our futures would be!
The Republican Party is pandering to the liberals who are using the Republicans inability to stand on the Republican principles that attract ALL Hispanics! Hispanics believe in Life, they are HIGHLY religious, they HIGHLY value family and moral principles. They also want the ability to reach their financial goals, and live the American dream, without government interference. But HOW will Hispanics understand the difference between Democrats and Republicans when Republicans have abandoned their principles in order to be more and more "democrat-like" in order to get their votes?
Until the Republican party recognizes that Hispanics PASSIONATELY believe in right and wrong, and that we have been raised in homes where PRINCIPLES, honesty, and conservatism are part of our DNA, and start making that message clear, they can give away whatever they want, and they will STILL not get the Hispanic vote!
Shame on Marco Rubio!!!! We all know what can be expected from Chuck Schumer and McCain!!
