Of course I love being with family on Christmas Day but 8 years ago we began opening our home to people on Christmas Eve for dinner. It has grown to a huge number and I just love it! I cook chili and Mexican cornbread, salmon stew and 7 layer salad. Friends bring appetizers and desserts. We then sing Christmas songs accompanied by a guitar and then it's off to church for our 9 pm service. It's my favorite Christmas celebration as we reflect on the greatest gift of all, Jesus !!
