I have not made a serious study of John Kerry's life; I doubt the rest of the world has either. I can only imagine that both our friends and our enemies have the same images come to mind at the mention of his name as I do. You know, the ones where he's standing next to Jane Fonda, working with the VVAW (Vietnam Veterans Against the War). Hanging out with other American "patriots" like Angela Davis and Ramsey Clark isn't exactly the stuff that inspires peace through strength throughout the world. The Heritage Foundation describes the VVAW as "an overtly pro-Communist and pro-Hanoi organization that was eventually taken over by the Maoist Revolutionary Union.” Nope. Not an impressive image.
