Just as I strongly disagreed with his Nobel Peace Prize, I think a better choice could have been made for Person of the Year.  Many would certainly be worthy but I think I would go with the young women in Afghanistan and Pakistan who are being murdered for simply trying to go to school.  Recently one story was at the forefront of a young woman in Pakistan who was killed and though a school may be re-named in remembrance of her, her parents are asking that this not be done.  No doubt it would cause difficulty on her family.

Brave young women demanding freedom and dignity are my choice.
