Today’s Woman in the Lens is a “hats-off” to a Republican woman who recently won the primary for Maryland’s 4th District, Faith Loudon. She is a shining example of “Building leaders of tomorrow by empowering women today.” Mrs. Loudon now sets that example for others that she learned from her mentor, and a former occupant of the seat she now seeks, Congresswoman Marjorie Holt.
Faith Loudon is a lifelong resident of Maryland. She first started to love politics when she was in high school. She grew up singing in church and school choirs, toured with the USO, and sang with the National Christian Choir for 28 years. She studied at the University of Maryland, and worked in the lab at a chemical company before getting married.
Mrs. Loudon is a mother, grandmother and homemaker who understands through experience that “Moms drive the economy.” She came up through the ranks of the Maryland Republican Party, serving in many capacities in both the party and the Maryland Federation of Republican Women. Her endorsement list is a Who’s Who of Maryland Republicans including former RNC Chairman, Michael Steele, former Governor Bob Ehrlich and Ellen Sauerbrey, 2006-2007 US Assistant Secretary of State.
Palladian View is pleased to spotlight this conservative Republican woman leader who has worked a traditional path to accomplish much for the Republican Party and her state. We look forward to seeing great things from her in Congress!
