Is the Democratic Party, the party of women?

Only 15 percent of women hold top positions in American corporations.   As of 2010, women make up 46% of the workforce but comprise 3% of Fortune 500 chief executive positions and 7.6% of Fortune 500 top earner positions and hold just 15.7% of Fortune 500 board seats.

imgres-1Gender gap with women is not a “Republican issue”, it is a universal reality. What the Democrats have done recently is to “spin” this issue to their advantage. In particular, they focus their message on Governor Romney, with an apparent effort to earn votes with the “independent” woman.

It is ludicrous to suggest that Chairman Preibus was "comparing" women to caterpillars. He used an analogy to explain that the media is being played.

Women play a crucial role in politics constituting 52% of the vote. If Democrats really are the party of women, why is it that it has been 30 years since women have achieved college graduation rates equal to or greater than those of their male counterparts, yet have failed to make it to the boardroom?
